The Xiaomi Soundbar Pro 2.1 ch is a 300W two-channel-plus-subwoofer home cinema sound system consisting of a full-width 840mm soundbar with two internal full-range drivers (60W each) and an external wireless subwoofer housing a 6.5-inch driver at 180W maximum power — the 2.1 configuration that adds a dedicated low-frequency channel to the stereo soundbar to reproduce the bass content that a soundbar’s small drivers physically cannot move at volume. The wireless subwoofer eliminates the cable run from soundbar to subwoofer that makes wired 2.1 systems inconvenient to place: the subwoofer pairs to the soundbar wirelessly and can be positioned anywhere in the room without needing to route a cable across the floor or behind furniture. The honeycomb brushed metal body and metal mesh grille design won the Red Dot Design Award 2025 (Cert. No. 45-05482-2025PD).

The 300W total figure is the sum of the two soundbar drivers’ maximum output (60W each, 120W combined) and the subwoofer’s maximum output (180W) at their respective peak limits simultaneously — the standard way soundbar systems state combined maximum power. The two full-range soundbar drivers handle all mid and high frequency reproduction: full-range drivers attempt to cover the widest possible frequency range from a single driver without a crossover network splitting the signal between separate tweeter and woofer elements. The 6.5-inch subwoofer handles low-frequency reproduction with the large cone area and excursion range that produces the physical air-pressure impact of deep bass that the small soundbar drivers cannot generate.

The audio decoder supports both Dolby Audio (via Dolby Digital Plus decoding, which requires the source signal to carry Dolby Digital Plus encoded content via HDMI ARC or optical) and DTS Digital Surround (which requires DTS-encoded source content). DTS Virtual:X is both a decoding format and one of the six selectable audio modes: it applies upmixing and elevation processing to standard stereo or multichannel content to create a virtual spatial audio impression from the 2.1 physical speaker layout without requiring ceiling or height speakers. The six modes — Standard, Music, Film, Game, News and DTS Virtual:X — apply different EQ and processing profiles to the same audio signal, with Standard as the factory default. Film mode broadens the soundstage and emphasises surround spatial processing. Game mode increases dynamic response for transient-heavy game audio. News mode emphasises vocal midrange clarity. Music mode applies a balanced EQ profile for stereo music content.

Connectivity covers all standard TV and source connection formats: HDMI ARC (the Audio Return Channel that carries audio from the TV back to the soundbar over the same HDMI cable used for video, enabling TV remote volume control via CEC), Optical input (TOSLINK, for TVs or sources without ARC), Coaxial input (for older sources or AV equipment), Bluetooth for wireless streaming from smartphones and computers, and NFC for one-tap Bluetooth pairing on Android 8.1+ phones. The infrared remote selects input channel and audio mode with single-button operation. Touch controls on the top panel provide local control without the remote.
