The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 is Samsung’s latest compact foldable smartphone. It opens into a full 6.9-inch display and folds down into a pocket-sized square that slips easily into a jeans pocket or small bag. It’s the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z Flip yet, at just 6.1mm unfolded and 180g, while keeping the same large 4,300mAh battery as before thanks to a new silicon-carbon battery. With a faster 2nm processor, a redesigned FlexWindow cover screen and Galaxy AI built in, it combines standout design with flagship performance.
Main display: a 6.9-inch FHD+ (2520×1080) foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate, which scrolls smoothly and drops the refresh rate when it can to save battery. HDR10+ support and up to 2600 nits peak brightness make videos vivid and the screen easy to read outdoors. FlexWindow cover screen: a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED cover screen (948×1048, up to 120Hz, 2600 nits) lets you check notifications, reply to messages, control music, view widgets and Now Brief cards, use quick settings and run selected apps without opening the phone. Simple AI requests also work with the phone closed.
Performance: the Samsung Exynos 2600, built on a 2nm process with a 10-core CPU and Xclipse 960 GPU, keeps apps, games and Galaxy AI features fast and efficient. 12GB RAM for smooth multitasking, and 256GB storage for photos, videos, apps and files. Galaxy AI: Gemini, Now Brief, Interpreter for live conversation translation, Audio Eraser to remove unwanted background noise from videos, and Photo Assist for AI-powered photo editing.
Cameras: a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS and Dual Pixel autofocus takes sharp, detailed photos in daylight and low light, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera (123°) fits landscapes, buildings and group shots. FlexCam: because the phone folds, you can use the main 50MP camera for high-quality selfies with a live preview on the cover screen, or set the half-folded phone down for hands-free photos, video calls and group shots without a tripod. A 10MP front camera covers quick selfies and video calls. Video: records 4K at up to 60fps and supports HDR10+ video. Horizon Lock keeps your footage level even if the phone tilts while you film.
Battery: 4,300mAh battery for all-day use. Charging: 25W fast wired charging (around 55% in 30 minutes), 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare to charge your earbuds or smartwatch from the back of the phone. Durability: IP48 dust and water resistance (up to 1.5m for 30 minutes), Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and an Advanced Armor Aluminum frame.
Software: Android 17 with One UI 9, with up to 7 generations of OS upgrades and security updates. Connectivity: 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, Nano SIM + eSIM. Dimensions: unfolded 166.9×75.4×6.1 mm, folded 85.7×75.4×13.1 mm. Weight: 180g. In the box: phone, USB-C to USB-C cable, SIM ejection pin, quick start guide. ⚠️ Charger not included, sold separately. 2-year warranty.
