The Intel Core Ultra 5 225U (Intel Series 2 / Arrow Lake-U, 12 cores: 2 Performance-cores + 8 Efficient-cores + 2 Low Power Efficient-cores, 14 threads, 12MB L3 cache, up to 4.8GHz boost) is built on Intel’s latest low-power U-series platform targeting thin-and-light productivity laptops. The P-cores handle burst workloads — video conferencing, document processing, browser-heavy multitasking — while the E-cores and LPE-cores distribute sustained background tasks and maintain responsiveness during lighter usage without drawing on the full P-core power budget. The Intel AI Boost NPU delivers 12 NPU TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) of dedicated AI compute for inference tasks, keeping AI-powered features running at low power consumption rather than requiring the CPU to shoulder the computational load.
