The OmniSense™ 2.0 platform is the intelligence foundation that makes everything the A2 1200 does autonomous — the 360-degree 3D-LiDAR sensor scans the entire surrounding environment continuously with a 59-degree vertical field of view and detection range to 70 metres at precision down to one centimetre, building a three-dimensional point cloud map of every obstacle, boundary and surface in the garden in real time. The 1080p HDR AI camera works alongside the LiDAR to identify specific object categories from the 3D point cloud data — recognising garden furniture, tools, toys, fences, small animals including hedgehogs, cats and dogs, water pipes, nozzles, tennis balls and people independently, and applying the appropriate avoidance and navigation strategy for each category rather than treating all detected objects the same way.

AI Auto-Boundary setup is a feature that eliminates the primary installation hurdle faced by every previous robotic lawnmower: the need to physically bury or lay a boundary wire around the entire perimeter of the lawn before the robot can operate. It completes boundary mapping five times faster than the previous A2 generation and precisely records the boundary within the app without the need for perimeter wire. For complex garden boundaries that are ambiguous or unclear, accurate mapping can also be performed manually via remote control with the same result. Three mowing patterns produce distinct visual results: "Custom Direction" for any specified angle; "Checkerboard Pattern," which creates alternating 90-degree stripes for a formal lawn-striping effect; and "Cross Pattern," which shifts direction by 45 degrees between passes to produce a seamless, uniform appearance without visible directional lines. The "Dual Map" feature allows a single mower to manage two completely separate garden areas—such as a front and back yard, or two different properties—with independent schedules for each map.
