The fourth-generation AI obstacle avoidance system is the most significant navigation leap in the X60 Ultra — replacing the single-camera and 3D structured light approaches of previous generations with two independently operating AI cameras at 120-degree field of view each, working together with LED projectors and lateral 3D structured light to produce a complete, depth-accurate picture of the floor and obstacles from 10 millimetres to long range simultaneously. This Generation 4.0 binocular vision detects over 280 distinct object types — including tiny objects as small as 10 millimetres, scattered cables, clear transparent objects and dark objects on dark surfaces that single-camera systems lose entirely — and responds to each with the specific avoidance and cleaning strategy appropriate to that object type, rather than applying the same generic obstacle response to everything.
The Proactive Light Dirt Detection system uses the LED projectors to actively illuminate the floor surface during every cleaning pass — revealing transparent liquid spills, scattered fine hair, light-coloured debris and particles on light-coloured floors that ambient room light and camera-only detection leave invisible — and then determines how many additional cleaning passes that specific dirt type and concentration requires to achieve complete removal, rather than applying a fixed cleaning pattern regardless of actual floor condition. The adaptive cleaning strategy differentiates between dry waste and wet waste in real time: dry large particles trigger boosted suction with lowered main and side brushes and lifted mops; wet stains trigger mopping with lifted brushes; carpets trigger mop lifting and CarpetForce mode to seal the suction chamber for maximum deep-pile cleaning.

The 35,000Pa of maximum suction power — 75% more than the X50 Ultra's 20,000Pa — is matched to the HyperStream™ Detangling DuoBrush 2.0 with rubber strips 60% thicker than the X50 Ultra for 100% hair removal rate on both hard floors and carpets in maximum suction mode, including hair strands up to 40 centimetres long.
