The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is the global mid-range flagship of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 17 series, announced and released in August 2026. It is the most hardware-specified Redmi Note Pro in the series to date in terms of display quality, battery capacity, water resistance and drop durability — bringing IP68/IP69K dual water resistance certification, manufacturer-rated protection to 2 metres for 72 hours, and drop resistance up to 3 metres to a price tier where these features are unusually rare. The 8GB/256GB variant uses UFS 3.1 storage, which is meaningfully faster than the UFS 2.2 found in the 128GB configurations.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 (SM6435-AA, 4nm, octa-core: 4×2.4GHz Cortex-A78 + 4×1.8GHz Cortex-A55, Adreno 710 GPU) is Qualcomm’s current 4nm mid-range chip. The 4nm process node improves power efficiency over the 6nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 found in the Redmi Note 17 4G, and the Cortex-A78 performance cores provide a more responsive burst performance for demanding tasks — camera processing, gaming, video encoding. The Adreno 710 GPU handles gaming and graphics rendering competently in this segment.

The 6.83-inch AMOLED display is the specification that most clearly differentiates the Note 17 Pro from its non-Pro siblings.
